Formed in October of 2003, the Bedford Community
Coalition is a collaboration of public and private, City
and County agencies, organizations, and individuals who
are committed to addressing the needs of our community through
research and prevention planning. We would like to thank
the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control's
Division of Education and Prevention for providing financial
support to help our coalition get started in 2003.
Mission Statement (adopted
October 2003):
We are committed to improving our community through cooperation,
communication, and coordination.
Our Focus: To address
the needs of local youth, ages 0-18, by assessing their
needs and developing action plans that will maximize their
potential to grow, develop, and achieve healthy quality
of life and become successful, productive citizens within
the community.
