The Solid Waste Department adopted a 2-mile stretch of roadway on Va. 43 and participates in the cleanup of this roadway 2-4 times a year. Bedford County and the Bedford VDOT Residency Office are working together to educate Bedford residents on the Adopt A Highway program. There are many roadways in Bedford County that have not been adopted, but are in need of volunteers to help with cleanup. If you, your business, or organization is interested in the Adopt A Highway program please contact the Bedford VDOT Residency Office at 540-586-7910 or click on the link below for more information.
