Important information for citizens previously served by the Bedford City General Registrar’s Office:
Voters formerly served by the Bedford City General Registrar’s Office should contact the Bedford County General Registrar, Barbara Gunter, for all services related to voter registration and elections effective July 1, 2013. The office is located in the County Administration Building at 122 E Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523. The telephone number is 540-586-7649. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Official Notice of Elections
The 2015 General Election will be conducted on November 3, 2015. Voting polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. This year’s ballot includes elections for Senate of Virginia, House of Delegates, Clerk of Court, Commonwealth’s Attorney, Sheriff, Commissioner of Revenue, Treasurer, Soil and Water Conservation Directors, Board of Supervisor members for Districts 1-5-6-7, and School Board members for Districts 1-5-6-7.

Absentee voting will begin on September 18, 2015, in the County Administration Building. Applications requesting an absentee ballot by mail may be obtained by contacting the Office of Elections at 540-586-7649. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
